Solid build, useful display, supports a variety of modes
The look and color are a little .. dated? But this is a solidly built unit that seems to do the job well. Included are both standard clamps and eyelet connections which you can switch, and instructions which are adequate but not great. (what constitutes 'winter use' folks?) The product description here is accurate.There's a hanging ring on the back that thoughtfully can be retracted if you're not using it, however unless you're charging a battery on a bench I don't see how you could use it? The cable to the battery from the unit isn't nearly long enough to reach from a wall to a battery in the car.On a related note, the battery clamps have a red wrap to keep them from splitting, but out of the box the clamps can barely reach the terminals on a standard car battery, so I'm going to hav

Works well, has multiple options, and a nice display
This does exactly what it says it does. When I was installing a new winch, I ran down the battery on my UTV and it would not start. I plugged this in and it fully charged it without a problem. I then flipped it over to "winter" mode and left it on trickle while I was away for a week. When I returned, the battery was still fully charged. This is very useful in maintaining battery life in the cold.It also has options for cars, both charge mode and "winter" mode.The instructions do not explicitly say it, but the winter mode is actually a trickle charge. There is an indicator on the screen that tells you when the battery is fully charged as well. Battery Charger
This is such a convenient tool. Having a battery charger on hand is so great because you don’t always have someone available to jump you if your battery is dead. I’ve useless once so far and it worked pretty easily. It was on a larger truck so it did take a little while to get the battery charged up enough to start, but it did do the job. Definitely a good value. It didn’t seem to overheat or anything while it was in use.
